The Addi Moves team cordially invites you to an Open Day, where Associate Professor Simon Rosenbaum and his team will reflect on two years of achievements for the exercise and mental wellbeing program and discuss the program’s ambitious plans for 2025 and beyond.

Associate Prof. Rosenbaum said the Addi Moves program is an initiative of the Discipline of Psychiatry and Mental Health at UNSW Sydney, with support from Mindgardens Neuroscience Network and NSW Health. It is based at the Addi Road Community Centre in Marrickville, in Sydney’s inner west.

“Addi Moves is dedicated to addressing inequities in access to evidence-based and trauma-informed health promotion programs for people from migrant refugee backgrounds as well as people experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, mental illness,” he said.

“Our mission is to support individuals who may have experienced marginalisation by providing exercise physiology consultations and group exercise sessions. Since our launch in February 2022, we have delivered over 1,400 consultations and supported 15 internships for UNSW Exercise Physiology and Public Health students.”
