Sydney, 10 June 2024: Researchers from Black Dog Institute have successfully developed a new app shown through research to help teens better manage their mental health and improve wellbeing.
The ClearlyMe® app uses a self-directed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy program tailored to teens going through a tough time. The app is aimed at 12-17-year-olds and has shown significant results in lowering depressive symptoms, psychological distress and improving quality of life.
“In Australia, there are increasing rates of psychological distress in young people – yet many are not able to access professional help due to cost, stigma and lack of service availability,” says Black Dog Institute Associate Professor Bridianne O’Dea.
