Creating the nations’s first comprehensive brain disorders centre
Mindgardens is a three stage project designed to bring some of the greatest clinicians, researchers and technology together for the treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders, ageing, drug and alcohol and related disorders.
Currently at stage 2 of the project, Mindgardens will consolidate and further develop the services that currently operate on and near the combined UNSW and Prince of Wales campuses.
STAGE 2 will deliver an integrated precinct at a cost of $180 million resulting in a total of 25,470m2 of vital floor space
STAGE 1, a new $54 million facility for Neuroscience Research Australia is already complete and operating
Future development potential has been planned as STAGE 3 comprising an additional 35,530m2 for $320 million
Mindgardens is about creating a world-class, once in a generation, translational research and treatment centre that will deliver better care and cure outcomes for patients and enormous benefits to the broader community.
